Goose Day – Canada Goose (Branta canadensis)
- The largest goose species in the world.
- Mate for life, which can be anywhere from 10 to 25 years.
- Fly in a distinctive V-formation.
- Males and females have very similar plumage: head and neck are black, with bold white cheek patch. body grey-brown; feathers under tail white.
- Is widespread throughout in North America.
- Has been introduce to countries in Europe, Asia, South America and South Pacific.
